No part of our sport is growing faster than the women's game. Stadiums that once hosted a few hundred now sell out. Sevens tournaments draw new fans every summer. And the standard of play rises every single season.

The Boom Is Real

World Cups break attendance records, professional contracts grow year on year, and girls' school leagues feed clubs that barely existed a decade ago. The athleticism on display — the hitting, the handling, the game management — has won over every skeptic who actually watched a match.

Flag football's Olympic arrival and professional women's American football leagues are opening the same door on the other side of the Atlantic. The pipeline of multi-sport athletes choosing the oval ball has never been stronger.

The question is no longer whether the women's game belongs. It is how fast we can build room for it.

The Challenges We Own

Growth brings honest problems. Too few qualified coaches for the surge in players. Fixture lists squeezed onto shared pitches at awkward hours. Medical and strength support that still lags behind the men's setup at many clubs. Naming these gaps is the first step to closing them.

What our league commits to

  • Equal access to Skarnwick Park's main pitch for women's fixtures.
  • A funded level-two coaching course for every women's team, every year.
  • Shared medical cover on all double-header match days.
  • Youth girls' sections at all six member clubs by 2027.

How to Get Involved

Our women's training group meets every Wednesday at Skarnwick Park — all abilities, all backgrounds, boots provided if you need them. Bring a friend, or just bring yourself. The fastest-growing team in the league is waiting.
